Disappointments Cause Emptiness

In a perfect world, nothing would ever go wrong. No one would hurt another person. We would never fail. Things would fall into place all through our lives.

A Broken World Full of Emptiness

Overcoming Depression

But, we live in a very different world than that! Our world is broken!  Our world has been damaged by sin. That can leave us feeling empty and unfulfilled.

The Bible tells us that everyone has sinned. We have fallen away from God’s glory and instead of living lives of perfection, we move from one empty dream to another. The pain of emptiness is almost too much to bear!

God understands that. That is why He sent His son, Jesus Christ to help us overcome our emptiness and find wholeness in Him. Jesus offers us forgiveness for the sin that caused our emptiness in the first place. He offers us new strength to overcome the pain that other broken and empty people cause us.

Exchanging Emptiness for Trust

“We can live as people healed from emptiness”

When we place our trust in God, He promises us new life. You do not need to go through life alone! God can go with you.  Jesus even promised you a Comforter, an Advocate who would stand with you through all of the rough moments of life, the Holy Spirit. Jesus said in John 14:15-18, “If you love me, keep my commands.  And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.  I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. (New International Version)

Our world will remain empty and broken because of the damage done by sin, but we can live as people healed from emptiness by the love and mercy of Jesus.

Finding Fulfillment

Whatever your situation, you can find fulfillment.

It begins with a simple prayer like this:

“Dear Jesus, Please forgive me for the wrong things I have done. I ask You to change me and make me whole. I need Your help to overcome the emptiness in my life. I choose to live for You. In Jesus’ name, Amen!”

If you prayed that prayer, please click the button that says: “Yes, I prayed the prayer.” We will contact you soon.
